Introduction & Rules of the Game — 10 min

Setting expectations, creating a safe space, and establishing group agreements for open, respectful discussion.

Vision, Mission & Values — 50 min

Exploring how organisational values shape everyday decisions. Staff connect personal values to shared purpose and reflect on how values show up in practice.

Person‑Centred Approaches — 25 min

A practical look at strengths‑based, choice‑led support. Real examples help staff build confidence in applying person‑centred principles consistently.

Break — 10 min

Safeguarding & Positive Behavioural Support — 25 min

A focused refresher on recognising concerns, responding appropriately, and understanding behaviour as communication. Emphasis on proactive, preventative strategies that promote dignity and autonomy.

Team Communication, Collaboration & Reflective Practice — 50 min

Strengthening team relationships through effective communication, shared problem‑solving, and reflective practice. Supports a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Summary & Feedback — 10 min

A closing reflection to consolidate learning, gather insights, and identify next steps.

This full‑day interactive training programme is designed for managers and leadership teams who want to strengthen their confidence, deepen their understanding of purpose and responsibility, and enhance their ability to lead people well. Through practical activities, reflective tasks, and real‑world scenarios, participants explore what effective leadership looks like in modern care, community, and wellbeing settings.

Setting the tone for the day, outlining expectations, and creating a safe, open environment for discussion and reflection.

50 min — Vision, Mission & Values

Exploring organisational purpose and how leaders translate values into everyday behaviour, decision‑making, and team culture.

30 min — Effective Communication

Developing clarity, confidence, and emotional intelligence in interpersonal situations. Focus on active listening, assertiveness, and adapting communication styles.

10 min — Break

30 min — Person‑Centred Practices

Understanding how leaders embed person‑centred thinking across teams. Practical tools for promoting autonomy, dignity, and strengths‑based support.

30 min — Reflective Practice

Using reflection as a leadership tool to improve judgement, enhance self‑awareness, and support continuous improvement.

25 min — Lunch

A deep dive into the Well‑Led domain and what outstanding leadership looks like. Exploring governance, accountability, culture, and continuous quality improvement.

Reflecting on key learning, identifying next steps, and capturing insights to take back into the workplace.
